Hey everyone, I just noticed this small "string" or flap of tissue connecting the inside of my upper lip to my gums right above my front teeth. It’s been there for 4 plus months.

It doesn’t really hurt, but I’m curious what it is. Is this something I should be worried about, or is it just normal anatomy? Also, I was tempted to mess with it, but I’m assuming that’s a bad idea. Any insight would be appreciated!
