Im originally from the more rural parts of AL but joined the military, travelled around the US a bit, and now I'm getting out and I think i want to return to AL. Planning to stay in the defense sector so I'm looking at Huntsville as a landing. I'm currently in D.C. I've visited before, but not so much the downtown area.

How is it as a 31 y/o single guy? Is there plenty to do? I know theres a college there, but is it more of a college town? How does it fall politically?

I like doing a variety of stuff. From the outdoors, to more relaxing/chill spots (big fan of jazz bars).
