Is cycling to and from college good enough exercise.
Im 19F and Ill never take nothing less of 15 units each semester. I take summer and winter classes. I get NO breaks, meaning absolutely no exercise either. My college is about 20 minutes drive and I was wondering if riding a bike to and from school 2 days a week is even considered exercise? It would be 30-40 minutes by bike i think one way.I remember my doctors saying that anything thats makes you sweat is exercise. I cant even remember the last time I've touched a bike so I dont know if it involves a lot of sweating.
Would this be a good activity to do to help with my overall mental health, maybe muscle and physical health? I DONT want to get skinnier that I am i just want to not feel like a dead lump of meat most days.
How is it for people who bike at a decent pace? Would you say you noticed any benefits?
Please give your thoughts or any advice you have!
Edit: maybe im underestimating riding a bike but would you say its incredibly straining at first till you get used to it?
