It's like shaming culture. Advanced societies tended to have an internal moral locus of control. Because so many third worlders and malevolent social engineers were brought into proximity with more liberal type societies, they were able to shift the Western culture to more shame based, which is morally regressive. In Australia they're trying to ban common poetic phrases because they're also used by protestors.
