Every country should have it's own internet to prevent big countries from taking over it's culture.

...and for regulatory purposes.

It's like shaming culture. Advanced societies tended to have an internal moral locus of control. Because so many third worlders and malevolent social engineers were brought into proximity with more liberal type societies, they were able to shift the Western culture to more shame based, which is morally regressive. What does an online mob of narcissists know about right and wrong and why should we out source our judgement to them? We shouldn't but we have.

I think the Welcome to country ceremonies are counter productive and a bit evil.

Basically, welcoming people to their own country is a bad idea. Do I need to say this? It's something the entire world understands except Australia. You shouldn't be symbolically imposing a hierarchy of citizenship where only natives are legitimate. It's only going to breed resentment.

As nothing is done about increasing poverty and wealth disparity the backlash will grow. We're now seeing civil liberties rolled back constantly. In Australia they're trying to ban common poetic phrases because they're also used by protestors. Citizenship rights are something they're coming for too, and it's not helpful when we have these ceremonies every 5 seconds welcoming citizens to their own country. You know who is going to take advantage of the idea that majority don't deserve citizenship rights. Oligarchs.
