Seeking Senior Capstone or Data Science Project Inspiration from alumni
Hey everyone,
I am currently preparing for my Senior Capstone / Final Year Data Science project and I want to build something genuinely impactful rather than a generic boilerplate project.
I am looking for project ideas, research directions, open-source gaps, or interesting real-world problem domains in AI and Data Science.
My background includes:
- Python, SQL, R
- TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
- Spark, Docker, FastAPI, Streamlit, AWS/GCP
- Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenCV, MLflow, and most common DS/AI libraries
I am adaptable and open to learning new tools, frameworks, or research areas if the project is interesting enough.
I am mainly interested in:
- LLMs & AI agents
- Computer Vision & Multi-modal AI
- Real-world ML systems & MLOps
- Open-source AI infrastructure/tools
I have not finalized the project yet, so I would really appreciate ideas, advice, datasets, papers, repositories, or personal experiences from people who have worked on strong AI/Data Science.
