Hello! When I was in Verona a little over a year ago I had this "braised fennel cream" and it is without a doubt one of my most favorite dishes I have ever had. The item and its ingredients is second down in the starter list.

My problem is that whenever I look up recipes for fennel cream none of them look like this. This had a very starchy thick texture that almost felt like a bread starter with how thick it was. You can sort of see what I mean if I am describing it right. Every fennel cream recipe i see is either a thin soup or almost a dressing. I ate it scooped on bread and it was fantastic.

Is there a name for this specific presentation of this food? I dream about it. The restaurant also changes their menu seasonally so I can never have it there again even if I go back. Any help would be appreciated!
