AITAH For Standing Up For My Struggling Friend
(please pardon my bad typing skills I'm trying my best!)
My Friend group is big and like any other high school group we have drama. My friend lets call him Finn, is a very opinionated person and is very bold when someone thinks the opposite from him or stands up for others. Then there's my other friend lets call her Apple because I like apples. Now Finn doesnt like apple which i found out literally last Saturday, and while Finn was talking to my friend and I he brings up the time I stood up for Apple because she wasn't talking to ANYONE one day due to mental health stuff and other personal things she was really sad and I talked to her and she told me but kept quiet to everyone else, which I get it happens to the best of us, and when that happens we leave sed person alone until they feel like talking. Now Finn has another opinion he says that its rude to ignore people even when ur going through shit which I get ignoring others can be rude but If i were in a bad mood I wouldnt wanna talk to anybody in a matter infact I would want them to ask if im ok not be bitchy like he was to apple. When I told Finn "hey they have every right to not talk to anyone if their not in the mood" after that he gave me the "OH MY GOD STFU" look. I continued to say that "I do the same thing and if i dont want to talk about it I dont have too" and he used the excuse of "well u look at me and acknowledge me so ik ur in a bad mood and i can cheer u up durring class" which doesnt makes sense if their not doing well shouldnt be a bitch to them no matter if they tell u or not. idk AMTAH for this or am I overthinking it like I over think everything
