trying to crack down on bots and scalpers this season but feeling totally stuck.
the big ticketing platforms push these strict mobile app locks to stop scalping. it works, but the catch is they hoard all the fan data. we barely get anything. they are basically using our events to build their own crm and market other shows to our buyers.
it feels like we are forced to choose between dealing with scalpers or surrendering our customer data to the vendor.
i started looking into vivenu recently because they claim you own 100% of your data while still locking down secure access, but i haven't fully tested their anti-bot stuff in the wild yet.
how are you guys balancing this? anyone doing this well or have actual experience with vivenu or any other ticketing system?
