Is Early Walter White more of a ‘Anti-Hero’ or an ‘Anti-Villain’?

Is Early Walter White more of a ‘Anti-Hero’ or an ‘Anti-Villain’?

According to the TVTropes website, an anti-hero is a character who lacks a handful of the traditional attributes of a hero but is ultimately heroic. An Anti-Villain is the opposite, a character with heroic goals, personality traits, and/or virtues who is ultimately the villain.

I often seen him described as an Anti-Hero at the start, but I don’t think it fits him very well. Even if he’s sympathetic, has noble goals and is often an underdog he’s still a drug-dealer at the end of the day. Idk.

Who’s better: Someone who commits large scale, detached evil or someone who commits smaller scale, personal evil.

Imagine you have two guys. Johnathan (picture 1) and Leo (picture 2). Both were born into a war that has began 10 years before they were born and still going strong. Both of their lives have been somewhat affected by it. They’re both 24 years old by now.

Johnathan is a young weapons dealer. He comes from a family legacy of prominent weapons dealers, going all the way back from his great grandfather. His family got rich off of selling to evil organisations in the past (especially in the last 34 years of war) and for most of his life he was expected to carry on this rich legacy. With this, he’s lived an incredibly privileged yet average childhood. As an adult, he’s become a chill, agreeable, dutiful and slightly depressed person. An okay person to those around him. For his whole life, he’s been surrounded by people who’ll often encourage this career (his parents, family friends, colleagues, etc) and tell him that it’s all worth it to help his country. He rarely sees / is affected by the negative circumstances of the war and the few times he does it’s often explained away by him. At the end of the day though, he’s just someone who’s been unmotivated, moving through life like a ghost and letting others make his decisions for him. He’s never really cared about whether what his job had any serious consequences.

Leo is a gang member and borderline serial killer. The country he resides in is war-torn and the city he lives in is neglected by the government. This left the city completely crime-ridden, filled to the brim with murders, thieves, corrupt politicians, etc. Growing up in a hostile environment such as this one left him broken. He’s become charismatic, impulsive, aggressive, but most importantly empty inside and looking for anything to ease his boredom. He became a gang member at 14 for money and for the past 10 years, he’s engaged in violent crime, distributing drugs on a local level, extortion, fraud and murder. By now at 24, he’s amassed enough money to leave his environment and not need to engage in these activities but still chooses to for the hell of it. He even takes it further than this peers and often starts unnecessary conflicts and seeks out opponents to kill. He does it for the love of the game.

Who would you determine to be a better person?

Robbie was lowkey asking for it 😭

Refused my shot on the team for the FIFTH time, take MY astral pulse without honouring our deal and nearly KILL me when I wanted to prove myself.

Not saying Elliot was justified in killing him, buuut… 👀

I know I’m kinda taking Shroud’s claims about the astral pulse at face value here. Idk why but I’m inclined to believe him, maybe I just like siding with the underdog in this situation. He isn’t exactly a slouch at inventing stuff either.

Who is better written? (Diana vs Clementine)

Who is better written? Diana (from Pragmata) or Clementine (from Telltale’s The Walking Dead)

Clementine is a normal 8 year old girl. Diana is a childlike android from the future. Both are young children thrown into a hostile and dystopian environment, forced to be protected by the main character (Lee/Hugh) and act as their sidekick, their heart and most importantly act as their daughter-figure.

Who would you say is better written between the two?

blame u/antithetic_nobody for the image, not me!!!

Anyway, would Larry still hate him? Be more neutral? Like and admire him? Love him even more than he did?

Pretending that Invincible and Dispatch take place in the same universe, then that means Sinister Mark would’ve come to Los Angeles to wreak havoc.

Can the superheroes in Dispatch manage to stop him? Or are they fucked?

- Scenario 1: The Z-Team only
- Scenario 2: Every superheroes in Los Angeles (including the Z-Team, Mecha Man, Royd, Blonde Blazer, Pom Pom, Brickhouse, etc)

Considering how his marriage ended with an affair and him beating one of them to death, how would he react to Javier/Kate’s romance and David’s reaction to it?

Would he hate Javier and Kate for what they did? Would he lowkey support David? How would he react to their Scumbag choices?
