I recently gave a seller a poor review (two stars). I just received an email from them asking me how they could improve. They also asked me to delete my rating and change it. They offered to pay me, which probably violates Vine guidelines and which I do not intend to do. Here's part of what I received:
"Thank you for your recent purchase of our products and for writing your valuable comments.
We take every customer's opinion very seriously. Please let us know how to fix the problem, and thank you very much for giving us a chance to correct the problem.
As an apology, we would like to compensate you, and we would appreciate it if you could delete your comment. Your help means a lot to us.
You can tell us your request by replying to this email
We sincerely hope you can help
Customer Service Team"
This was followed by links to access the review, delete it, and change it. (I will not open suspicious links, including these.)
Is this customary? I have no idea how they got my email because it is kept private but I may not have switched it to private in time this incident.
I would really appreciate some feedback here. Thanks in advance.
