Two of my favorites:

The Hot Rats sessions by Frank Zappa. It’s interesting hearing all the compositional ideas being rehearsed and the jams are amazing and unending.

The Basement Tapes Complete recordings by Bob Dylan and The Band. Hours of songwriting ideas from when they all lived in Woodstock. This has become my go-to travel soundtrack. When I’m sleepy and I have many hours to travel by bus/plane, I put this on and fade in and out of sleep. The lo-fi recording quality and gives it a dreamy quality. It feels like you’re just sitting in that basement.
