Hi, I finished compulsory school in Switzerland and then spent a year abroad, where I continued going to school. Now I want to go back to Switzerland at 16, but I don’t want to continue school or start an apprenticeship. I want to work independently and build a YouTube channel focused on Fitness/gym.

My parents think it’s important to keep going to school for things like culture, social life, and friendships. But I would take YouTube seriously, with a fixed daily work schedule and full commitment. My father thinks he can give me like 8 months to show them that I can do it. If not, i‘ll go back to school or I will make an apprendiceship. But my mother is against it.

My goal is that by around 18, I earn enough to support myself so I don’t have to work for someone else, but can work for myself. For the next 5–10 years, I plan to focus on building my career on YouTube.

Of course, I wouldn’t just stay at home—I’d still go out with friends, train at the gym every day, and focus on fitness and nutrition since it’s also my passion.

Hallo. Ich habe die pflichtsschule in der Schweiz beendet und bin 1 Jahr im ausland gegangen und bin dort weiter zur Schule gegangen. Jetzt möchte ich mit 16 wieder zurück zur Schweiz gehen aber ich will nicht weiter zur Schule und auch keine Lehre machen. Ich möchte einfach selbstständig arbeiten und zwar einen Youtube kanal aufbauen über Fitness. Meine Eltern sagen aber dass es auch wichtig sei weiter zur Schule zu gehen wegen der kultur und Freunde und so sachen. Ich würde dann natürlich Youtube ernst nehmen und täglich eine feste arbeitszeit haben usw. Mein traum ist es mit so etwa 18 einfach schon genug zu verdienen dass ich nicht eine arbeit machen muss also einfach für mich selbst arbeiten und nicht für jemand anderes. Und für die nächsten 5-10 jahren habe ich vor weiter auf youtube meine karriere zu machen. Ich bleibe natürlicherweise auch nicht zuhause sondern ich gehe auch mit freunden raus und täglich ins gym und ich fokussiere mich auch auf gym und Ernährung und alles weil es auch mein Hobby ist.
