I am 21 and have had problems with dry itchy flakes on my scalp since i was about 12, and have tried a ton of products to try reduce the irritation. I have easily sensitised skin and started dying my short hair with semi-permanent dyes so I put it down to that for most of my teenage years. I stopped dying my hair when I was 18 and have been growing it out for the last 18 months. Anyway, through all that the only product that has worked to fully relieve me from irritation is the Nioxin Anti-dandruff one but it is stupidly expensive and I simply cannot afford to repurchase it as often as I need to. The only other one I've tried that didn't actively irritate me was the Head and Shoulders Bare shampoo. I wash my hair 3 times a week and style it using a small amount of curling cream and mousse from Cantu (my hair is wavy/loosely curly).
