Congestion
Hi, my bf and I are first time parents to a 5 week old and for the last 2 weeks he’s had horrible congestion and not much is helping. We have a humidifier, saline drops and a nose sucker and he’s still so congested all the time it’s so so hard to get him to eat. He had his 1 month check up and we brought it up and she said to keep doing what we are doing but it’s not helping. I’m currently sitting in the bathroom with him with the shower steam to try to get him to eat more. He thrashes his head, won’t latch and cries. Sometimes it takes him over an hour to eat more than 2 oz. We know he’s still hungry bc he’s acting like it and tries to take more but won’t latch. And when he finally does he sounds like a pig. Idk if I’m looking for advice or ranting. We’re just so tired and getting frustrated. I feel like I’m failing my little boy.
