Problem with new sealed iphone 17
I ordered this iphone 17 new and sealed from an eShop a couple of days ago. I picked it up from the post office yesterday (Friday). I then tried to set it up and see it gets stuck in this screen.
I contacted the eShop and they told me that they only just sell the phones and have nothing to do with activating them. I did some checks based on the IMEI and serial number and it looks like the phone is unactivated. I even paid to check if it blacklisted, reported stolen or lost and it looks clean. From that IMEI info page it also says that the estimated purchase date is 2026-05-13, I don't know if that has anything to do with the phone not being activated.
This was my first ever apple product purchase and the first iphone I owned and I am really worried. I will contact apple on Monday when their call center will be open.
Has this ever happened to you? Do you suggest anything?
