Vintage Coach Rehab Questions

These are going to be my first rehab projects. Most of the bags were my mom’s except the Station Bag and the Compact Pouch. Those I paid too much for at a Goodwill auction and they both have a bit of an odor. I’m not sure if they belonged to a smoker or if it’s just an old musty smell. At any rate, so far I’ve brushed the insides of them to loosen any debris, vacuumed them out and cleaned them inside and out with a light wiping of 70% alcohol, in case any mold is present (there’s none that I can see). As for the smell, any recommendations as to how to remediate that? Tomorrow I plan to clean and condition them with Lexol. On the second page, there is a Kristen bag (the very dark plum colored bag on the left). Is the clasp of that bag supposed to be magnetic? It basically doesn’t stay closed unless full.

I’m really loving this bag. When I first opened it, I thought dang, this is going to be too small. But I was shocked at how much fits inside. The second picture is everything I have packed into the bag. If I really wanted to, I could probably fit a few more items. Anyone else have this bag and loving it as well? Any other Coach bags that don’t seems like they’d fit much, but fit a ton?

Decked my backpack out with Dino‘s to honor Rexy. Love the Coach plushie’s, but my little Triceratops does the job nicely until I’m ready to splurge. Also, absolutely recommend this backpack. The size is literally perfect, it’s super comfortable and slides off and on with ease. It fits a card case, essential small wristlet, a zip key case, an iPhone 16 plus max, a compact, two lip sticks and a lip gloss with room to spare. Last picture, so the cats didn’t feel left out! 😜
