(Mention of pregnancy for anyone who doesnt like that topic)

Ok, so I have a procedure scheduled for June- a bilateral salpingectomy- Right now, I want a close to zero chance of getting pregnant, but since im in a relationship and me and my partner would both want kids at some point later in our lives, im wondering if the salpingectomy is the best option to go for.

I understand that it's irreversible, but helps in preventing ovarian cancer and ectopic pregnancies. What are the pros and cons of a tubal ligation (cut, burn, tie) vs a salpingectomy (total removal) and cost wise, which would be the better option if I WERE to decide if I wanted to carry kids in the future? I just want to know from you guys' experiences and knowledge what I should consider when deciding on something as big a decision as this.
