i (15F) am hopelessly in love with her (16F), but she contstantly wavers between hyper-affectionate to noncommittal. we've been best friends for two years. over text, shes super flirty - comments about how we should fake date just "as a prank," reels about how she thinks im gorgeous, that type of stuff being exchanged back and forth. however, in person, shes a lot less affectionate. maybe its the atmosphere we usually see each other at (church school [kind of a homophobic environment], dance team practices), maybe im just delusional and shes only joke-flirting over text, where perhaps the setting is much more lax and therefore shes more willing to mess around. i do have ONE spark of hope for my downbad-ahh though; she loves like holding my hands, leaning against my shoulder, hugging me, etc. agghHh im so done for. but honestly, it feels like she cares - but i could also be desperate for the answer i want.
