I am looking to upgrade my current PC which has only been used for light gaming and general Internet / YouTube browsing.
I currently have:
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti
Motherboard: I cannot remember the model but it is only basic. I did a quick Google search a while back and it indicated it could have capacity for up to 32GB RAM.
CPU: Intel i5-6500
My PC is quite old, as you can probably tell by the current setup. I am looking to boost performance, I imagine CPU primarily?, mainly for using AI software and services such as Claude.
Budget is around $250, which I hope is sufficient to noticeably improve performance. I run one AI programme at the moment and my CPU spikes to 97%.
Thanks in advance. PS - I have never changed a CPU or GPU before but I could give it a go if it isnt too challenging for a novice?
