Never worn makeup before: where do I start?

Hii everyone, the photo above is me without any makeup on. I have barely any experience with makeup as all I use is mascara and the occasional lipgloss. I don't really think it's an insecurity problem but sometimes I feel like trying makeup might help me feel a little better about myself lmao 😭 also, I have tried to look into products but there's just so many choices which got overwhelming

I would really appreciate it if anyone can give me opinions on what makeup looks would suit me, preferably something for everyday wear!
