Okay so so background I was in a really bad relationship about a year ago and the guy I was with got my family and I ( my mother, my two kids, me and his brother and his girlfriend and his friend) kicked out we were all living in my mom’s house. Before we got the eviction letter my mom was already gone she moved in with my sister. So I found a place that helps people in my situation, like I said I was in a bad relationship and that caused me to have no job. So they helped me especially since I have two kids. So me, my kids and my ex moved into that place in about February of last year, by the end may I could no longer do the relationship and called my brother while he was at work and he came and got the kids and I and I called the police and they arrested my ex in April. My mother came to my brothers house and told everyone she was coming to help me with the kids because earlier that year I ended up in the hospital for a week bc of depression. So she said she came to help and I told her she can stay with me especially due to the fact I felt like I brought my ex into her house and he got us kicked out. Now in the place that we were staying in that the place who helped me we had to pay almost no bills other then electricity and WiFi for a year. That year just ended in February. Some background with my mother she’s always been money hungry I got benefits as a kid because my father passed away. She was always on government assistance and disability so rent was always very low. I never had new clothes for school once I turned 14 and could get a job I did because I had to pay for anything and everything I wanted or needed. Then once I hit 18 I had to pay rent and I did that and never complained bc I’m an adult now. She tells me with the kids if you work I will take care of them but if you go out to just have fun I would like some type of pay or something usually like a vape or two. I agreed to that I barely go out or have time to go out anyway because I’m always working. But she does not treat my kids fairly she favors my daughter over my son in slight ways. It seems like when she’s watching them she’s not actually watching them because something always breaks or there is a random bruise on one of them or a scratch, yes I get that kids fall and hurt themselves very easily and no they don’t look like a hand mark or like a adult caused them harm I can pretty much tell the difference because I’ve know bruises very well. But it tells me that she is letting them do just any and everything they want. We moved out of that place that I was getting help from and moved somewhere else. Here is where I am trying not to spazz out. Last week she went to get her “ boyfriend “ and when she left the door unlocked my ex just got out of jail and i am taking all precautions to make sure he doesn’t find us and if he does have the ability to protect us but she just straight up left the door unlocked. My sister in law was coming to get the kids that day but I didn’t hear my phone go off saying she was on the way and it was early morning so I was in my room asleep and the door just opens and I panic. I’m glad i registered who it was very fast because it could have gone very wrong. My entire family then texted me about why is it so easy to get in the house especially when he just got out and I had to explain to them that was our mother. And they were all livid. I’m trying so hard not to go off right now and am sitting in the car because I’m in the house about to go to the store and she tells me she doesn’t have money to give me for the bills this month. Here’s a small breakdown she pays 491 a month where I pay about 600 all she’s really paying for is her car and the wifi with a little help with the electricity. I can take care of the bills easy with one check. I’m just frustrated with money always being an issue. She’s had a place to live from both of my siblings and they want nothing to do with her and I feel bad bc I’m partially responsible for losing our one place. My plan is at the end of the year when it’s time to renew the lease to either tell her to find somewhere else to live or she can stay there and I will find somewhere else with the kids.
