Help! I’m trying to figure out what our wedding dress code should be and I’m stuck between Cocktail, Formal, and Black Tie Optional. We will be having many out of state guests attend as our families are located in different areas of the US.
Here’s the information I have to help determine a dress code.
• Venue: starts at 6pm this venue is hosting our ceremony and reception. Chapel is located on a lake, cocktail hour is hosted in a courtyard with lakefront view next to the ballroom that will host our reception.
• Wedding party: men in black suits, groom in dark green tuxedo, bridesmaids in satin floor length gowns, bride in princess style ballgown
• Tropical Palm Springs inspired decor and floral arrangements.
• Live violinist playing during cocktail hour
• Passed appetizers during cocktail hour
• DJ for the rest of the evening (we preferred this over a band)
• Open bar for entire celebration
• 4 course plated meal featuring steak and salmon
• Cake and dessert table
What we don’t have:
• Valet parking- parking is available extremely close to the entrance of our venue
• transportation to and from venue to guests hotel
• Photo Booth - my second photographer will be going around taking pictures of our guests and their families so we can send them a printed photo with their thank you cards.
