The 🥕 is setting us up for failure!
Why does Instacart no longer allow the customer to choose the grocery store closest to them? It’s like store roulette. You place an order and Instacart sends it to a store, it can be one close or one far away. I have delivered items from a further grocery store to a customer that was across the street or a mile away from the same grocery store. The other thing is, I have had many customers say they do not receive the chat notifications for replacements. It’s pretty much setting us up for failure and adding mileage to the vehicle. Customers get upset because they think you are shopping at their local store, but find out you are shopping at a store further away. I tend to pick up orders heading home from , so the mileage would be driven anyway. Also they allow the customer to choose items the store does not even carry, Saturday a customer asked for perfume from sprouts. The same sprouts instacart sent me to, the associate said they don’t even carry that. Automatic refund and a mild hit to me.
