Last year I (25F) started working in a new company, when I first got there my eyes were instantly drawn to one of my coworkers, who I'm gonna call Sam (29M). We went to a happy hour after work to say goodbye to one of our coworkers who was moving jobs. After drinking, we spent a lot of time just staring at eachother, clearly flirtatiously.
However, nothing ever happened. I got into a relationship and so did he.
Even then, he would still look at me the same way many times. You can tell when someone is not just looking at you.
A year passed and I broke my relationship off and after about 3 months after he also broke his. I decided then that I'd ask him to go grab a coffee with me, however I only sent him a text.
The thing is, he never replied. We saw eachother at the office the next day and he was clearly awkward the whole time, so I decided to apologize to him. He seems to have commented about it to other coworkers who are our mutual friends and I could listen to him talking about "needing to take his desk somewhere else", he gave the noise excuse but I could tell it was because of this situation.
I never wanted things to be weird between us and I would've been absolutely fine if he had just said no. But he just never said anything. This was last week, so I'm not sure if he's saying anything else this week.
Should not have done anything about it?
