Getting back into running advice needed
After a period of poor health from a condition called haemochromatosis I am trying to get back into my running.
I am M30 in generally good physical condition, lifting weights regularly with a fairly low body fat % but I had struggled from my condition which can affect cardio a bit and also the treatment which I did a few months ago which is regular blood letting can reduce your haemoglobin for a while.
I want to get back into it but struggling to break out of poor cardio. Currently I’ll run 3km at 5:30/km pace and be really struggling.
I used to run regularly in my early twenties and got a lot out of it but since trying to get back into it I am finding it incredibly tough and not enjoyable compared to weights which I am enjoying. I think this is probably cause it always sucks at first before fitness increases but does anyone have any tips of how to break out of this phase?
