I have a FlexiSpot EC1 desk from about 6 years ago. Yesterday it started lifting on only one side. I opened it up and found that the transmission rod is not turning because one end, where it connects to the motor, has broken off.
The motor still works, so this seems like a simple part replacement rather than a reason to throw away the whole desk.
FlexiSpot support said the desk is out of warranty and offered no real solution. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement transmission rod for the EC1, or has anyone successfully repaired this?
It feels wasteful to replace a working desk over one broken rod, especially when the failed connection appears to be plastic instead of metal.
