I noticed Blick’s storefront if having a liquidation sale on colored pencils

Ik they are two different mediums wax/oil

But before I decide to dump money into one or the other I wanna hear your opinions on each since I’ve heard good things about both

I tried looking into this but couldn’t really find any info

If you use alcohol to blend colored pencil does it ruin or take away from the lightfastness of the colored pencil used in said drawing?
