Thoughts on long distance marriage for a few years while husband settles abroad?

I wanted to ask what people here think about getting married and then doing long distance for a few years while the husband settles abroad financially and career wise before bringing his wife over. Would love to hear honest opinions or experiences especially in pakistani culture where family expectations can make things harder.

Edit- I am a guy

Edit 2- It’s honestly heartbreaking to see how common it’s become to immediately assume cheating when it comes to men living abroad. Not saying problems don’t exist but reducing it to that feels unfair. What happened to the importance of akhlaq, character and upbringing that we used to value so strongly?

I wanted to ask something I have been observing and was curious if others have noticed the same pattern. It seems that quite a few families prefer their daughters to settle in Pakistan rather than move abroad after marriage. Would love to hear different perspectives especially from people who have experienced this firsthand or made similar decisions in their families

I am thinking about doing a solo trip across Pakistan and wanted to hear from anyone who has done something similar. Like has anyone here travelled solo through different cities and up into Northern Pakistan? And what’s the best way to go about it in terms of routes, transport and safety? Are there certain cities or stops you’d recommend along the way?

I have been noticing something over the past few years that’s honestly felt like a positive shift. More and more people are getting married outside of their own communities and it seems like those boundaries are slowly loosening. I am seeing people prioritize personal connection, understanding and shared values over those older constraints. Would love to hear others’ thoughts or experiences on this.

I wanted to share something I have been reflecting on lately and see if others feel the same.I currently live abroad. I completed my undergraduate degree in Karachi, then moved overseas for my master’s and now I am working full time. I work during the day and after that I usually spend time on house chores or hobbies. Over time, I have started to feel that I might be okay living life on my own. It’s not something I actively planned but it feels like a calm and stable way to live. a’m curious if others here are in a similar stage of life where they feel content with independence and not actively pursuing marriage. If your views or experiences have been different, I would genuinely be interested in hearing them.

Thanks for reading :)
