for the love of god do not allow these homeowners to do these custom percentages of colors anymore if you can. and if they do you best make a sample and then match off a drawdown of that same sample if they like it because the percentage from a gallon will tend to not be the same. I had one of my guys do it this way as he didn’t know any better really and they don’t match the original samples and now i get to ass kiss and waste a lot of money fixing the problem.
Idk where all these homeowners are getting all these narratives that we can just start doing custom versions of a specific color but it needs to end. we’ve gotten an insane amount of people asking for this lately.
So many people think it drastically changes the darkness/lightness of a color and half the battle is explaining that it’s just simply not how it always works
I know it may seem like common knowledge but teach ur teams about this and avoid what could be massive headaches.
