Ex keeps making playlists about me. We broke up about a year and half ago
Basically, around January 2025, my ex (21M) and I (21F) broke up right in the semester before we graduated from college. To summarize why we broke up, he saw a couple of frustrated texts from my phone about him to a trusted guy friend, and they weren't the nicest words to describe him. He was also supposed to study abroad that same semester and was staying with me until his flight in 2 weeks. Thus, he took it upon himself to break up with me 3 days before he was going to fly out, so he would have a place to stay for the time being.
We broke up. He left. I tried to call him a week later to try to fix things. He already slept with another girl within that time frame. He even posted her 4 months later on his Instagram, which, by the way, I was never given the same treatment.
A year and a half relationship gone just like that. We were college sweethearts too and madly in love too, so imagine how much that hurt to hear.
Nonetheless, it's been about 1.5 years since we last saw or spoke to each other, but I have been tracking his Spotify playlists since he left. Oddly enough, they are all about me because they are all either sad romantic songs about a past failed relationship, or wanting to reach out but scared to do so.
I heard from a mutual friend that he got recently laid off from his job and came back to the city where we fell in love after a whole year. Mind you, I had to evacuate the city because it hurt too much that he practically abandoned me in that city, and I have been living at home with my parents since then.
I want to ask the guys in this subreddit what exactly is going through his head?
He has made 21 playlists, and they all contain verses about a past true love, which makes me really sad because it was real to me, too.
