Called Citi today, per their notfication you can request consolidation if you have two of the same cards after 27th of April, I called today 28th and successfully got through to Citi rep who was able to consolidate my two platinum cards. They moved a portion of credit line over but requested a "3-5 day review" in order to move the remaining. It looks like will be left with about 2K on card, the rep said after I see the transfer of credit line I could call back to cancel the other card. I asked them then about Product change option, they told me that PC options once credit line was consolidated will not be available for 6 months. So now in wait and see mode over next few days. For ref, my older card was Barclays and transfering my younger Platinum into that account, my former Barclays card closing date is 2 May so I was able to get Citi to work this consoldiation prior to closing date while Citi site still shows they are working on posting transactions. So chalk that up for a data point will see what happens in a few days.
