Edit: Added what the post says for those who don't want to click the link.

Possible info on TESIV? Probably extremely fake, but also something to talk about other then visions from Todd and whatnot. Someone was asking about some new 4Chan material, and 4Chan provides.

Anyway, sounds like BS. Not terrible, just faker than boxed mashed potatoes. What do you think?

>Game is set in both Hammerfell and High Rock. Both complete. Main "regional" plot is a dominion invasion. Empire is almost completely gone outside of a few stragglers remaining. Crowns and Forebears are fighting the Dominion and fighting eachother. You cannot join either faction, but you can side with one or get/force them to work together. Main plot of the game is about Satakal’s worldskin shredding and rewriting reality due to Hermaeus Mora wanting to study the effects. They nudge certain individuals/factions to a point that causes the Adamantine Tower to fail, causing reality itself to break. You start out as a slave/prisoner of the Dominion and are sent to an ancient Rourken Dwemer ruin on an island on the Illiac Bay as expendable labor for discovery/excavation. As you are there, a chamber is discovered and is still fully active with tones. Dominion mages try to tune this chamber with tonal magic they do not understand and the first worldskin tear happens as you flee deeper into the ruins to escape it. Reality is reshaping itself; people vanish as you flee and you encounter this tonal field. The cycle breaks as it touches you and you become an anchor being. You continue fleeing, using new unstable abilities to survive as you weave in between broken realities. You reach a room and unintentionally encounter ancient Dwemer nodes, granting you tonal understanding and making these Satakal worldskin powers more controlled and powerful. You escape the ruins, set to explore more Dwemer ruins to better understand and control these powers, and maybe get a few answers on the Dwemer as well. Mora soon realizes you and what you are doing. Intrigued, they contact you and help you get more powerful, but they do not want you to fix reality as they want to study the effects more.
You become known, and every faction wants you. The Dominion wants you to control the tower and rewrite reality as they see fit, the Crowns want you to destroy the tower as they see it as natural and necessary, and the Forbears want you to stabilize it and preserve everything. Other factions like the Direnni and Empire look to you too. The special ability in this game will be Satakal worldskin powers. You start with minimal powers and need to “fix” each reality tear you enter. You gain more powers as you fix each tear, but need to go into Dwemer ruins to further your understanding of the tones and that is how your powers get stronger. Each tear you enter, outside of a few tied to the main questline, will be procedurally generated. These tears are the main events in the game, much like oblivion gates and dragons in past games. Each tear takes you to a past or future reality, seeing people and civilizations long gone as well as things never seen or even understandable.
Other notes, sailing and ship travel is in the game. It is not required though. The game will introduce you to the mechanics early on as you escape the island. You will be given the opportunity to purchase and run a ship, but it is not required for any of the main questlines. You will be able to purchase transportation across the Iliac if you do not want to be a ship captain. Ship battles are rather limited to boarding and arrow shooting, not like ship battles in Starfield. The ship functions more as a player home and exploration of the Iliac. There is a form of settlement building, but it is mostly contained in a few spots in both providences. There will be radiant quests given that take you outside the map to procedurally generated locations in other providences. This is more-so included to give the modding community more freedom for their creations. The main map is massive and packed full of handcrafted stuff. Outside of the tears, everything on in Hammerfell, High Rock, and the Iliac Bay are handcrafted. The map is more open than previous titles, but still very dense with lots of things in between. The map is maybe 8 times the size of skyrim (Iliac not included) and has about 6 times the world content of skyrim. So there is a little more space between POIs, but not enough that the world feels empty.
