I’ve been trying to do a bunch of research on what route to go with my 2013 6.7 (basically stock minus deep pan and thermal bypass on 68rfe) I’ve read a bunch of positive reviews with CA Performance. And want to go that route but don’t really want to spend the 2400 some odd dollars on their full kit. I can do the full kit from SpeLabs (yes I know it’s Chinese but for 500 bucks, it’s free using my 67A recall gift card and parts are parts) and going with a different tune from a reputable company. They also have an option to include a device/file for 1300. There’s also a lot of good things I’ve read about the Diesel Patriots kit but again, not so much on their tune files.
My questions are these: do I get the cheap kit from Spelabs and buy a tune device (most likely the EZLynk) and file from CA I’m still in it 2300 ish or is there a better company that offers devices and tunes comparable for less then the 1800 they want for just the device and file?
If I already have the device regardless of who put the original file and vin license on it, can I have a different company also load files to it?
Is what CA offers truly worth it in a stock truck for the price?
