Impulse bought 3 bottles of BKL fine particle magnetics and I have regrets (a rant + my solution)
I knew it. I knew I was too much of a perfectionist and that these would be too finicky for me. What can I say, the FOMO got to me.
They only look good for 10 seconds after I finish magnetizing. And that’s over a fully cured jelly base and after trying alllll the top coats. I even did a big chop bc I thought they tend to look cleaner on shorties. No luck.
HOWEVER - they look BOMB under a sheer polish that has a lot of reflective glitter. Glowing. Hides all the imperfections. I’m so happy I have a way to use these up that doesn’t drive me up a wall.
I’m also going to Franken-polish some of these with plain jellies or clear polish because I think the fine particles are too concentrated and that contributes to how unforgiving and dispersement prone these are. If anyone else has any other solutions I’m all ears!
