Hi all. I (25m) quit smoking 14 months ago. I had been smoking from 19-24. Started with once a week and then for the last 2 years, I used to smoke 4-5 times a week (sometimes less, sometimes more if travelling).

I used to smoke at night mostly, with friends or sometimes alone. Anyways, it didn’t align with my goals and I was having memory issues so I stopped smoking.

Been through a lot of phases but now I don’t even feel like smoking, even though my friends and some family members smoke in-front of me.

Now I’m going on a 5 day trip to northern areas (involves hiking) with my friends who smoke. It’s going to be long bus drives (15-20 hours). I was wondering if it would be okay to smoke a few times on this trip (like during bus breaks, when reaching base camp, or when reaching view points).

In my mind, it would just be a trip thing and I’ll go back to my normal life back home. Is that really possible or is this like an excuse to smoke?

Would love people’s thoughts on this.
