would production in nitc be better than mech/chem in vit/manipal

there are other options like manipal or vit (which would cost almost the same as this) but nitc was the initial dream but i couldnt hit the ciwg rank for chemE. is the 35L inr for a dasa seat worth it for the nit tag.
