Is NIT Calicut possible at 91.25 percentile (OBC-NCL, Kerala)?

Hi everyone,

I got around 91.25 percentile in JEE Main and I’m from Kerala, OBC-NCL category.

I know this isn’t a strong score for top NITs, but NIT Calicut has been my dream, so I wanted to ask realistically:

Is there any chance of getting into NIT Calicut (any branch) through JoSAA or CSAB?

Has anyone with a similar percentile/rank managed to get in (especially OBC-NCL)?

If not, what would be the closest realistic options I should consider?

I’d really appreciate honest guidance. Thanks!

I need help

I am about to be handed down an iphone 13 from my brother

Its currently at 72% capacity which is really bad.

I am just a student but want to replace the battery before i start using it

I have two options

A 2700 rupees local battery change with 6 months warranty

Or a whopping 8800 rupees battery replacement by the authorized service centre

I plan using this phone for another 2 or 3 years max

I’ve hit peak boredom. Send help.

I think I’ve officially run out of things to do and I’m slowly losing it

Drop some suggestions for things to do nearby or any chill spots where you can just hang out and vibe for a while. Would love to hear what you usually do when you’re bored or just want to get out for a bit.

Help me out here

Vajra scammed me today!

I swear everyone around Company Mukku knows about Vajra Print Shop, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad.

This guy had the audacity to make me wait for three whole hours for a simple printout ... only to hand me something that looked like it came out of a dying printer from 2005. The print was so faint you couldn’t read a single word. Just random dashes everywhere highlighted for some reason idk why. Completely unusable.

And the best part? He gives me this weird, smug smile like he’s done me a favor and expects me to pay for that garbage.

I thought okay, maybe it was a one-off. Asked for another print.

Even worse.

At that point it’s not incompetence, it’s straight-up scamming. Total waste of time, energy, and patience. When it came to billing he came up with random prices which wasn't even discussed earlier and I was charged extra too.

Meanwhile, this guy is just standing there chatting, cracking pointless jokes, and yapping away while students are literally waiting in line for hours. Zero urgency. Zero professionalism. Zero respect for anyone’s time.

Absolute trash service. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being frustrated and ripped off.

coding and tech advice

im a first year eee student and honestly i have almost zero interest in my branch. ive always liked coding but i havent really explored it much yet. i spoke to a couple of seniors and they said most placements are in tech, but i still dont have a clear idea about how it all works

if there are any seniors who’ve been in a similar situation id really like to connect, just wanna dm and ask a few doubts. cse,ece people are welcome too, but im mainly looking for seniors from other branches who managed to balance both

im planning to actually use this summer break properly so any guidance would really help. thanks!
