McMaster Integrated Science(iSci)

Hello,

I was accepted into McMaster Integrated Science (iSci), but I was rejected from my top choice, iBioMed. I’ve heard a lot of positive things about iSci, especially regarding research opportunities and the science literacy it provides.

Is iSci a good pathway if I plan to pursue a master’s in engineering later or get involved in biomedical engineering research opportunities during undergrad? I still plan on writing the MCAT, so I’m comfortable staying in a science-focused program, but I’d love to hear from students who may have had similar goals.

I also understand that getting industry jobs directly out of iSci can be more challenging than in engineering programs, so I’m open to any advice or experiences from current or former iSci students who have taken a similar path!
