We discussed the 5 ton unit would be larger. The guy said if it was needed they could take it back to the shop to weld the metal pad frame to extend it. They are roughing it in now, and I walk outside to this. It has 3” of overhang on the left and ~6” on the right side. I think it looks like ass, but is this structurally sound????

I messaged the hvac guy who planned the system out and he said that he “doesn’t remember saying they would weld and extend the frame.” He said it to me in person but not on the paperwork.

This was an expensive redo with all new ductwork for a 3100 sq. House. As much as I’m paying should I complain or let this stand?
