I read this recently- I had wavy hair that I discovered I could wear curly as long as I used strong hold gel and a diffuser about 20 years ago. It took work to get it to hold and look nice though. It was a lot thicker then, but now, it is sooo curly. If I air dry too long I can’t get it straight. I usually air dry 70% then use a blowout brush to make it smooth and do big blowout curls. I read recently that as we age and follicles shrink it can kind of strangle the hair which causes increase in curl/texture. Does this mean if I take care of my scalp and take all the supplements and do things to make the follicles healthy that my hair will curl less? Just curious if anyone has experience with texture change as they have grown their hair back.
Sharing routine below, would love feedback on this:
Current routine: oral minox x3 mos, just doubled dose to 1.25 split into 2x daily, spironalactone, pumpkin seed oil/saw palmetto supplement, and started doing microneedling 2x weekly with the ordinary hair serum. I use nioxin shampoo/conditioner 2x weekly and Dr Groot’s scalp wash 2x week. I wash hair every other day and sleep in a mulberry silk bonnet.
