Makita just updated the “Get Instantly” promos, and there’s a killer one right now: buy the Makita GSH03Z and get the Makita GCV02PMU full kit free.
My problem is I can’t figure out how you’re actually supposed to claim it.
It says in-store only at participating locations. I checked my local Home Depot, and they don’t have the saw in stock, but they will ship the saw to that store. The bigger issue is the free GCV02PMU kit is out of stock across my whole state/district.
I even checked online in multiple states and looked at other retailers like Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply Company, and Platt Electric Supply — none of them show the GCV02PMU in stock either.
So, how does this work in that situation?
If the store can get the saw but not the free promo item, does the deal just not happen? Has anyone had Home Depot order the free item in, backorder it, or manually honor the promo?
I'm just trying to figure out the right way to handle this before I waste time driving around.
