Basically, this Friday and Saturday my girlfriend’s friends are going clubbing both nights. She told me she wants to invite me so I can be there with her, make sure she’s safe, and so if she wants to leave early we can leave together instead of her going home alone.

The thing is, she says she doesn’t want to ask her friends because I wasn’t originally invited, and she thinks they might have a “hissy fit” about it.

I’m probably overthinking it, but part of me feels like maybe she’s saying that because she actually doesn’t want me there herself. I genuinely can’t tell if I’m reading too much into it or not. Am i being an idiot?
