No Game Pass needed for Multiplayer Xbox Games?

Hi all smart people. I want to by Forza Horizon 6 but I'm not sure if I should buy the Xbox or Steam Version to be proof for the future.

I have an Xbox, I own already Forza Horizon 2-5 on the Xbox. I had the Game Pass Ultimate in the past, but now it's too expensive fore me. I've also GeForce Now Performance.

To play Multiplayer on Xbox I need at least the Game Pass Essential. When I try to play Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox, I cannot play Multiplayer, because it directs to the Game Pass Subscription, but when I play the Xbox Version on GeForce Now, I can play all Multiplayer parts of the game.

Can I assume this will be also for Forza Horizon 6?

Is this because the game is the PC version when I choose the Xbox Version on GeForce Now?

Are there any benefits of buying it on Steam then? I don't care about Achievements.

My Summary for now: I can buy the Xbox Version and play it on my Xbox and if I should need Multiplayer, I can play it on GeForce Now. Then I can also invest the money from the Game Pass Essential in the upgrade to GeForce Now Ultimate.

>We know this announcement comes as a surprise – it’s a positive one, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. We are proud to share that we’ve entered a publishing partnership with Paradox Interactive, a leading publisher of management and strategy games! This collaboration is a perfect match and a natural fit, as we both share the same values and commit to a player-first approach, and we’re honored to join forces with such a respected publisher.

>From the very beginning, interests of the Transport Fever community have been at the heart of this decision. Transport Fever 3 will be realized exactly as envisioned – only strengthened by the additional support and expertise this partnership brings. This collaboration allows us to enhance what’s already planned, and together, we will continue on the path we have set out for Transport Fever 3 and deliver the greatest possible value to players and modders, both new and veterans.

>We remain fully committed to all promises we’ve made to the community, and the route of Transport Fever 3 continues as planned. We and Paradox have agreed on a shared vision for publishing, combining our strengths. The IP continues to remain fully with us, and they have full trust in our creative direction. This partnership is about amplifying Transport Fever 3, not altering it.

I have a very bad feeling about that and removed the game from my Steam Wishlist. We all know Paradox. I'm afraid that there will be a DLC for everything in the future. Also no more Steam Workshop (that was their "Curated Mods Program" about).
