PLEASE DON‘T COMMENT IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY ACTUAL, REAL ADVICE TO OFFER

I‘M LOOKING TO SEE IF THERES ANYTHING I CAN DO TO TREAT IT OR CARE FOR IT BEFORE I TAKE HIM TO THE VET

My 2 year old pastel bamboo pinstripe male ball python (I’m giving all of this incase anything could affect treatment) just shed. his entire shed was clean but I noticed that he had some skin stuck to the tip of his tail, so I soaked him for a while in warm water in a clean pot for about half an hour. I left the lid off while I sat with him because he wasn’t freaking out, and he just set his head on his edge and fell asleep in it. I dabbed him semi dry and let him crawl on my skin to get it off With smooth friction. I grabbed him to check it after he got it off, and I noticed that it looked weird. I think that he must have had old shed I never noticed due to the small size of it, the locaction, and his darker tail scales, and I think he must have grown into it and strangled it. I’m pretty sure it’s dead. I touched it gently with my thumb and it fucking moved up slightly on one side, so it’s partially disconnected. what the hell do I do. he didn't Flinch back or tense or anything when I touched it and has just been calmly exploring around my bed.

do I take it off? Do I leave it To fall off on his own? Do I buy anything like medicine? He didn’t seem to be in pain when I poked it at first, and he doesn’t seem to be in pain while crawling around.

The side of his tail that I took the photo of is also pin pricked with blood. it’s only that side.
