Trying matcha again

I have always been a fan of matcha flavoured things (ice cream, candy etc), and remember trying some matcha like 20 years ago and I hated it. It’s probably due to the fact it was brewed incorrectly. And decide to try again after figuring my taste bud might’ve changed all these years (as many things I like now I used to dislike). Decided to buy most of the things I need today and brew a serving for myself. I regret not trying matcha again sooner as it’s a very interesting experience.

The process of preparing the tea is also very entertaining (I drink Chinese tea a lot and use gaiwan most of the time). I am not sure if the matcha I’ve bought is considered good, but it seems I’ve now fallen into another rabbit hole.

Due to pricing and availability (and my bad habit of wanting to obtain everything right there and then) I was only able to get a resin chasen, will probably get a bamboo one when I have time to go to another store.
