So I’m new to the v6 2nd gen vortec. But the fan sounds very loud. Like I hear it over the engine when revving or accelerating. Just curious if that’s normal or not? I was thinking of changing the fan clutch cuz maybe it’s just wide open at all times.
*03 Sonoma sls 4.3 v6 vortec automatic.

So I’m gonna pick up my 4.3 automatic today but I’m second-guessing thinking if I should wait and get a standard 2.2 since the standard 4.3 is harder to find. What do you guys think?
