Which quad after an Avata 2?
hey guys, hope you are doing well.
I recently bought an avata 2 as a first quad because my main intent was to film cinematic videos, in weekends or trips where I don't want to handle the batteries. Bought a 700€ second hand (but like NEVER used) Avata 2 + Goggles 3 + 3 batteries + ND filters. I totally bought it to get the goggles for cheap, and will make footage with it. Like I totally don't regret the purchase and it was my goal to buy it first to have goggles and a drone I can bring easily on holidays.
However, I had a ton of pleasure making "freestyle" with it, using the FCC hack and having aggressive rates. Powerloops, slaloming between obstacles, etc.
And I want to buy a drone made for that, but also usable for cinematic purposes. My goal is to still make cinematic videos, sometimes steady (like mountain diving) and sometimes very punchy. The drone needs to have a O4 pro.
I don't know if I should buy a
- 5 inch (GEPRC Vapor D5)
- 2-3.5 inch like Pavo 20 Pro 2 or like a Flytime85 or Flywoo Firefly 20PRO (I don't know a lot of references)
- Tinywhoop like the Meteor 75 Pro.
I had a lot of fun in a park with the Avata 2, that's why I thought of a Tinywhoop.
I fear that a 2-3.5 inch will overlap with the Avata 2 (but the Flywoo Firefly 20PRO looks punchy as hell and is a very good format)
And I know that 5 inch is the "graal" and will definitely use it in open spaces like forests, mountains, beaches. Can even use Li-On for long range.
What's your take on this ?
On the very long term I know I will maybe have drones from all categories but what should be the next purchase ?
Thank you!
