I took delivery on my 26 RAV4 PHEV 3 days ago and I love it. I have no prior experience with hybrids or plug ins. Looking for advice.

The car had 0% charge on delivery. When I plug into a regular 120V outlet, the car shows the charging rate to be .7-.9 Kw and an estimated time of 16+ hours to full charge. Google AI says 1.2-1.4Kw is normal. What’s your experience?

Yesterday I bought an adapter that allows me to plug into my 240V dryer outlet. I got a charging rate of 6.5 Kw. How can doubling the voltage boost the charging rate more than 6 times?

My 120V outlet is more conveniently located so I’d like to use it most of the time. Do you have any suggestions for improving the speed?
