I've not seen anything like this before, been playing a lot just having a blast on RTTS and hitting a billion home runs for 7 full seasons. Team totally choked in the playoffs so I wanted to wait as long as possible to sign somewhere to see if the CPU would make some good pickups but my offer to return expired so I just waited for the entire offseason to end, mostly just to see what happens.
For those who don't know, you are prompted to select a team to try out for in Spring Training (All time HR record holder 'trying out' lol). I select the team I was on the previous year and sim spring training, start playing regular season games and my PCI is tiny, despite not changing any settings. Now having played about 10 games this season, I notice I'm struggling to get anything off the bat over 105 EV. Don't think it's happened once yet, all of my numbers are down, routinely struggle to hit balls 99+ EV when every other season I've played it was the opposite - difficult to hit a ball under 100mph EV.
Is my player in some kind of hidden cold streak because I simmed Spring Training rather than 'Advancing to Regular Season' like I usually do? I wasn't prompted to this season because of the tryout thing. That's the only explanation I can think of.
Just wondering if my player will ever go back to normal because if not, I only play RTTS so I'm probably just done for the year until the next game comes out. Also, can't restore to my saves I made prior to free agency starting because of SDS' jank file management system.
