I don't know if I'm overreacting or not, but I'd like some opinions.

I’m 16M, and a teacher who’s about 30 has been acting weird toward me. It’s not anything explicit, but it’s a combination of things

He gives me higher grades while ignoring my mistakes. I literally had some bad answers on a test, I told him, and he said, “Don’t worry, it won’t affect you,” and still gave me the highest grade, even though he’s strict with others.

He told me I was “his element” in the class.

He talks to me more than the rest of the class, and he stays chatting with me about totally unrelated stuff (once for like 5 minutes about what kind of pasta and sauce I liked or some crap like that). In those conversations, he talks fast, changes the subject on his own, and barely lets me respond, as if he’s just filling the silence. Sometimes it seems like he’s playing along with me, like changing what he says to agree with me.

He praises me for super normal things, like organizing some computers, and he told me, “Very good, such a perfectionist, that’s a good quality, very good.” When I showed him some work, he barely corrected anything for me, but he gave my classmates more feedback, when we had the same mistakes

The weird thing is that he only does this with me, even though there are people who work harder in his class. I haven’t done anything to make him like me in particular.

He hasn’t done anything directly inappropriate, but all of it together makes me uncomfortable.
